Saudi Arabia — 2.4 MW Edge Campus for a National Telecom Operator
Twelve 40 ft pods delivered to three regional sites in 22 weeks, each with N+1 UPS and free cooling sized for 48 °C ambient.
01 — The challenge
The operator needed to add capacity at three regional aggregation sites within a single budget year, but none of the sites had a building suitable for a traditional data hall. Two were on land without permanent grid connection, and summer ambient temperatures reach 48 °C.
The tender also required that each site be maintainable by local staff with limited data-center experience, and that capacity be added without interrupting live traffic.
02 — The solution
We delivered four 40 ft CubeDC pods per site, each pre-fitted with 20 racks, N+1 in-row DX cooling with adiabatic assist, and a 600 kVA modular UPS. Pods were load-bank tested at our Shenzhen factory before shipment, so the site work was limited to foundations, MV connection and network links.
Because each pod is an independent power and cooling block, capacity can be added pod by pod. Local staff maintain them through the same HMI and DCIM portal used across the estate.
03 — The result
All three sites were handed over in 22 weeks from purchase order, and the first pod at each site carried live traffic 11 days after arrival. Measured PUE in summer peaks at 1.28, and no cooling-related incidents have been recorded in the first 14 months of operation.
